The Kiss

I'm returning to an old theme here.
Several years ago Robin Dutt curated an annual kiss-themed show at Gallery K in Hampstead, to which I contributed.
This is an idea for a new sculpture on the same enduring theme.
This might seem rather cynical at first glance, and perhaps it is.
As a child I was always fascinated by my father's old vice, which at that time my eyes were level with the handle's axle.
I loved the way the 'jaws' gradually came together as you turned the handle, so perhaps that it is there somewhere too.
To give it authenticity I intend to construct it so that it has a working screw thread.
